Mary Ellen graduated from Springfield College in 1992 with a Master of Science degree in physical therapy and received her doctorate from Boston University in 2005. She is a nationally certified lymphedema therapist and has other training in kinesiotaping, myofascial release, craniosacral therapy, and visceral manipulation. Mary Ellen also works with men’s and women’s health for pelvic issues, and has published an infertility case-series research study in the Journal of the American Osteopathic Association and a lymphatic case report in Rehabilitation Oncology. She has also developed a research study for infertility.

​ She has developed and teaches continuing education courses for other physical and occupational therapists in the areas of the lymphatic system, the vascular system, breast anatomy and the treatment of the infant to improve latch and feeding issues. Mary Ellen is also co-founder of The Nourish Project which is devoted to developing continuing education for practitioners in the realm of breastfeeding and latch dysfunction.
